Agreement

These terms govern your use of Arakel, a life story journal operated by Joxs Development. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

Your account

You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian where required.

Your stories remain yours

You retain ownership of the memories, writing, and photos you submit. You give Arakel a limited license to host, process, format, and display that material only as needed to operate features you request, including AI assistance and family sharing.

You must have permission to upload or share content belonging to someone else. Do not use Arakel to violate privacy, intellectual-property rights, or applicable law.

AI-generated material

The iPhone app lets you preserve a written memory without AI writing assistance or choose Anthropic assistance for that save. On the website, saving written answers and selecting AI prompt or tone controls uses Anthropic as described in the Privacy Policy.

Website illustrations are not created automatically. Only the signed-in story owner may request one by selecting Generate Illustration, Regenerate, or a new illustration style; those actions use OpenAI as described in the Privacy Policy.

AI-generated questions, writing, timeline suggestions, and illustrations may contain errors, omissions, or unexpected details. Review generated content before relying on or sharing it. Arakel is a creative aid, not a historical authority, legal service, medical service, or archival guarantee.

Acceptable use

You may not probe or disrupt the service, bypass access controls or rate limits, automate abusive requests, distribute malware, impersonate others, access another person's account or shared story without permission, or use the service for unlawful, threatening, or exploitative content.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Arakel available and protect stored stories, but uninterrupted access and permanent preservation cannot be guaranteed. Features may evolve, and we may suspend abusive or security-threatening activity. Export or independent preservation options may be added over time but should not be assumed until shown in the product.

Termination

You may stop using Arakel and delete your account at any time. We may restrict access for serious violations of these terms, threats to other users, or risks to the service. Where practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

Disclaimers and liability

Arakel is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Joxs Development disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
